A week of Ru

Thats right ! Ru turns three on the 7th so I am going to be putting up pictures of her everyday until then. I have lots more pictures to choose from with her since she is three!! WooHoo.

So now back to pictures of BOTH kiddos. Here is one of Ru is her Rock Star get up !! Target had a 90% off sale on Halloween costumes so I picked some up for her. She is dancing away. The next two were taken a couple weeks ago when we got our first snow. It hasn't snowed really since then but it is coming soon. Very very soon !!! The last one I thought was a great picture that Alan took. Isaiah wanted to go outside so badly!! But really not an ideal situation for a 1 year old.

WEll, My boy finally turned one!! I have loved getting to look back at his first year of life. Isaiah, you have been a little boy FULL of surprises. You came into this world big and healthy and a whole two weeks overdue. But getting to know you this past year I look back and think that is exactly your personality. You love to cuddle as much as possible and are so sensitive. I can imagine how secure and safe you felt in the womb and just didn't feel like leaving !! We are so glad you did-even if it was by force!! I have learned so much through getting to take care of you. I have learned to sit back and just enjoy holding you and giving you lots of kissers. I have learned that discipline looks way different for you than with Ru. I have learned how to love TWO kids at the same time yet in different ways. I know one day your sensitivity will help tranform you into the man that the Lord will want you to be and that will show the Love of Jesus. You and your dad have so much in common. I can't wait to see all of the fun things you two do together. Your Grandpa Dub taught your daddy well and I know that your daddy will teach you how to hunt, bike, camp and all that other fun boy stuff Grandpa Dub showed daddy. Not to worry, you will know how to cook good meals and clean with the best of them as well. Thanks to Gram, your daddy started cooking cheese toast at the tender age of two !! These things will become great assests when you are single and out of the house and even bigger assests when you are married. But for now, I am so glad God placed you into our hands !! Above all we give thanks to our God and King!! He has so blessed us with you and we hope and pray that will be good stewards with what he has given to us. We love you Isaiah-and count you as such a huge blessing from the Lord and in return we pray you will be a blessing to the world!!!

For some reason we don't have any pictures of him when he was five months old. The HORROR!!!! I know what can I say, he is the second child. Though I have to admit I think I have done pretty good so far. One month-SHEESH- not too bad. Now I hope since I have bragged on myself that I will have pictures for the next 6 months !!!

So I am going to try and post a picture everyday of Isaiah until the 16th-his 1st birthday !!. I already know that it will be a good time for me to remember .I hope you enjoy remembering with me. For the first picture- this is him the day he was born-after being all cleaned up- all 10 pounds of him. It was crazy waiting so long for him- but good things come to those who wait!!!

Funny Ru

So my mom sent Ru and Isaiah money for Fall but instead of sending a check she sent it all in one dollar bills. So we have this thing when we go out to eat, we ask Ru how she is gonna pay for the food. To which she then says "I will do the dishes". So when ALL of those dollar bills came she said "Now I can pay for our food !!"

We might not celebrate Halloween

But we definitely celebrate 50% off candy!!! Ru's, great grandma Woofie, sent her money for Halloween so we spent some on candy and a 4 piece nugget Happy Meal with juice and apple dippers (minus the carmel sauce !!). She has been going at that bag of candy all morning and afternoon. She pushes her luck that's for sure. I also went and looked to see if I could find some cheap dress up clothes for her but even half off those costumes are pricey. I figure maybe craigslist will be cheaper.
