Christmas Tree

So here's some pictures of our first Christmas Tree. It's a Fraser Fir that we bought for $28.97 at Menards. We've already decided that next year we'll try and make a trip to a local farm to cut our own. I swear, I felt like my mom (who is a super-perfectionist when it comes to lighting her trees), wrapping and wrapping that first layer of lights. But after that first layer, I backed off a bit and decided on the "drape and tuck" approach. Drape the lights around the tree and tuck them gently inside. I think it looks great, although I just might go out and buy one more string of lights (stop laughing mom)! We'll pick up some garland and a few basic ornaments at the store later this week. Nothing crazy, just a few basic balls. Mini-B hasn't seen it all done up yet, but I'm sure she'll like it. I just hope she doesn't pull it over!

First good snow!

Today was Mini-B's first time to really get to tromp around in the snow. There still wasn't much on the ground, but we had fun with what there was. Thanks to Great-Grandma for the boots and gloves and to Mrs. Maureen for the use of the bibs!
